Yesterday, Korney Bogomolov came in 5th in Chieti - Blockhaus. A decent result, given his relative inexperience, limited support and sub-optimal TS/DP. Still, a 5th place usually does not warrant a press release.
That is, unless it brings in enough points to break the 1000 point barrier for the first time. Unfortunately, a win in Juiz de Fora - Nova Friburgo from last season got deducted a couple of hours later, and I did not see that 4-digit count personally. However, we are not set to lose any points for the next month or so, so even with a lot of guys recharging and a limit on how much points we can get without messing up our plans for next season, there is a very real possibility to get more than a 1000 soon.
For me, it signifies the growth of the team the last few seasons after a very long and stable period around division 4. We keep often targeting ERD tour and thus limiting ourselves, but with Figura growing older I think next season will be the last time we do that. I have quite a plan for the start of next season, I’ll surely keep you posted if we succeed in carrying it out!
